THE BOYS BRIGADE

TEAMS consist of three boys or girls aged 11 to 17, or vets 18+. Mixed teams will be permitted but will be competing in the boys’ competition. Age points are given to the advantage of younger teams.
EQUIPMENT. Teams need to provide at least one copy of O.S. Map No. 129 Nottingham and Loughborough AND one copy of O.S. Map No. 140 Leicester, Coventry and Rugby, and have a reasonable knowledge of how to use the map and find six figure grid references. A pen and suitable footwear and clothing are also required.

POINTS are awarded for map reading, time taken between checkpoints, incidents and observation.

TROPHIES are awarded to the top three teams, the highest placed girls team, and the highest placed veterans team. All who complete the course will be awarded a certificate.

DETAILS of the location of the start and other final information will be issued in March.

COST is £13.00 per team, which includes refreshments en route and a full hot meal at the finish.

ENTRIES are now being accepted on a 'first come - first served' basis. Early application is advised, as there are only a limited number of places.
